Glenwood Avenue Road Construction

The N.C. Department of Transportation will close lanes to improve Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh from the Five Points intersection to Wade Avenue, beginning Monday, June 28 through the beginning of September.

Alternate Driving Routes to our office

Eastbound Wade to Glenwood Ave.

Take the Glenwood Ave. exit. Turn left at the stop light onto Glenwood. Continue past our office, and past Fairview Rd (closed) at Five Points. Take the first available right onto White Oak Rd. Take first right onto Sunset Drive. Turn right onto Whitaker Mill Rd. Turn left onto Scales St. Turn right on either Harvey St. (enters back parking lot only) or W.Aycock St. to enter our front or back parking lots.

Westbound Wade/Capital Blvd

From Capital take the Wade Ave exit. Take right onto Scales St. Turn left on W.Aycock St. to enter our front or back parking lots, or left on Harvey St. (enters back parking lot only).

Or, From Capital take the Fairview Rd exit. Continue on Fairview. Turn left onto W. Aycock St. Continue on W. Aycock St. to enter our front or back parking lots.

From N. Glenwood

Turn left onto Anderson Rd. Turn right onto White Oak Rd. Turn left onto Sunset Drive. Turn right onto W. Whitaker Mill Rd. Turn left onto Scales St. Turn right on either Harvey St. (enters back parking lot only) or W.Aycock St. to enter our front or back parking lots.

Other road closure information

Crews will close one direction at a time on Glenwood Avenue beginning on the westbound side. Traffic will be shifted into the eastbound lanes in a two-lane, two-way pattern. During this new traffic pattern, motorists can expect the following impacts:

• The ramp from westbound Glenwood Avenue to westbound Wade Avenue will be closed. Motorists needing to access westbound Wade Avenue from westbound Glenwood Avenue will take Oberlin Road to Wade Avenue.
• The ramp from westbound Wade Avenue to westbound Glenwood Avenue will be closed. Motorists needing to access westbound Glenwood Avenue from westbound Wade Avenue will take Oberlin Road to Glenwood Avenue.
• Harvey Street will be closed at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue.
• West Aycock Street will be closed at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue.

In addition, Fairview Road will be converted into a two-lane, two-way pattern from Glenwood Avenue to Scales Street while work is taking place on the westbound lanes at the Five Points intersection.
